What mods can be done to the 2.25 housing to get it to flow better? I'm putting a garret on my 2.5 and would realy like to go with a 2.5 housing but nobody wants to part with them so now i guess I'll have to hack up my 2.25 housing and try to make it look decent.
Thanks

You know, the 2.5in and 3in swingvalves can be bought new.

Plus there isn't that much savings on a new 2.5in swingvalve vs. a used one. People tend to sell used ones from 80 to 100.

I wouldn't hack it up, rather i would just port it out to 2.5" I just did that on my car and although it doesn't go in as far as stock (about 1/4" sticks out on the donut) it still seals fine and it's better than running a 2.25" exhaust.

From what I understand, the stock 2.5" swing valve housing from the Mitsubishi turbo is a direct bolt-on.

Nope but it can be welded together. By the time you cut and weld em the $100 used is money well spent.
