Exhaust question(no muffler?)

Im in the midst of converting my 87 T1 Daytona to a T2 and was thinking about getting new exhaust too. I currently have 2.5" (not mandrel) with no cat and a straight through Magnaflow muffler. I was thinking about putting 3" mandrel exhaust from the turbo back with no cat or muffler. I have driven the car with no exaust on it before (when i took it to the exhaust shop) and it wasent that loud. Also, there are no emissions tests that my car must pass in my state and there are alot of really loud cars (open header V8s) around. Would 3" mandrel bent from the turbo back with no muffler/cat be acceptable/reasonable? If no, why not?

personal preference. some people say it's way too loud others say it's loud but they don't mind. You won't get anyone telling you that it's quiet though.

you can always put the system on and see how you like it and if you want you can add a muffler after.

but as far as performance and stuff goes, this setup would work okay, right?

yep, that's as good as it gets basically.
