Thats a pretty good picture of my header dont you think? I wonder if it will flow better than a stock unported unit? I ran a 12.84 with a stock intake/exhaust with no porting, now I have a custom header and intake, I wonder if I'll be any faster this year..

I called Stephane and he said the price for that header was $600 USD. Thats a nice looking header but thats still way too steep. He said the material alone cost him $250, but I find that very hard to believe.

Who ELSE makes a proper header for our cars? I've seen the stock logs from the factory and they're just pathetic, I think headers would show a decent gain per psi, and definitely want to add one while my car is all apart.

ported, the factory manifold works quite well. dont under-estimate them....your money would be better spent on other mods...

headers are some of the most over-rated performance mods out there. not that they dont help, its just that they dont give as much power increase as some believe they do...

but, given the exceptonal power output of Stephane`s car, im sure a header is of much greater benefit to him than most of us...

while that header is a fine piece of work, equal lenght headers generaly give little, if any gains over un equal lenght designs...

that is actually wrong. equal length header designs when done right allow for higher VE across the board, lower EGT temperatures, and decrease your lag. it allows you to run more hp per pound of boost.

now, what i will say is that the header we see above probably wont be all that much better then the ported out factory. the reason for this is that he air is so unstable through all the bends and because very turbulant at the collector/flange. in order to achieve all that i mentioned, you must keep the bends to a minimum, try to put a straight section before every curve, and most of all, put a straight section between the collector and the flange.

ok, that is quite difficult especially in our cars and motors, so that header is a good accoplishment. the header above will flow way better, however it will only achieve a little less lag.... if i was a betting man.

Brina, (LMAO)

I did screw up on what I was trying to say....

"now, what i will say is that the header we see above probably wont be all that much better in producing horsepower then the ported out factory. "

Remember flow isnt everything. hence why I said, "the header above will flow way better, however it will only achieve a little less lag.... if i was a betting man."

Dyno results would be awesome.
