I know mitsu's have problems with boost creep with too well of free flowing exhaust. So my question is is this too free flowing. 2.5'' exhaust the whole way Mandrel bent from JRB, with high flowing cat and bullet muffler. ??? Will I have problems with boost creep?

I dont mean to hijack post but this can be answered at same time basicly...

Im planning on getting exhaust dump (cutout), well making one and was wondering where i can put it? Will i get creep if i put it after DP or do i need to put it farther back on car? Its on a T1 blow through mitsu.

Yes, in both cases you will get creep! just not as bad as a 3 inch set up. As for the cutout, if you don't put it in front of your muffler or cat, then its useless, so any place before that and it won't matter, you will get creep!

I'd assume your running a Garrett turbo, hiboost, based on your sig. Those are alot less restrictive then the Mitsu turbos so they don't typically have big boost creep problems.

yea i know......if whom ever that did it would have been smart they would have used the garrett turbo seeing that the motor is like a 87 ..so with the back pressure just try it with out a muffler and if it creeps up to boost cut try a cherry bomb turbo 2 muffler thats what i have there like $16-17 at auto zone or the thrush from advance auto parts

My van came with 3" exhaust, no cat, and a cheapo muffler that exits under the sliding door... should I bring it down to 2.5" when I run it to the back with my new muffler?

I was told that turbos need no backpressure, so the less exhaust the better! (some TD site online)

You are correct, turbos need no backpressure. The more there is, the slower they spool up and less power they make. The only draw back is the mitsu will boost creep like mad. Leave the 3 inch system on, I am running 3 inch and it too exits under sliding door. I am not running a mitsu though!
