That SV might of only given 5peak hp but look at the area under the curve. From 3700ish rpms to 5 grand. Looks to be a max gain of about 30hp in that fat midrange section. VERY NICE!

CHRIS this requirement is news to me.....so it is literally mandatory? does anyone sell the parts already moded? does the rod need to be lengthened or shortened?

and when do you expect to ship this batch of 3 inchers? thanx.

CHRIS i see from the pix that the rod hole is short of the actuator attachement, is this the correct relationship? is there a specific measurement in inches from center of actuator rod hole and actuator pin center?

so if i ordered a new can at $100 i'd have the whole setup pre-measured, including rod length, and ready to go? note: i didnt see this item on your website, is it there?

sorry for all the q's, i am still sorta new at this.

thanks again....i think i understand the significance of the length of the rod, with the larger SV you have to shorten the rod, yes?

but, how do you know you have it correct? i mean is it trial and error? or is there some mechanical or measurement test prior to the very first test drive?

i will be ordering the larger new can, one less piece of hardware to worry about.

I was lucky and my wastegate rod was already right on when I recieved my TU turbocharger with the 3" SV. Since I plan on getting a large can actuator soon, I didn't bother to make the wastegate rod adjustable.

My engine combo is "2.5 T2", stock Garrett TII turbocharger, 3" SV, 3" exhaust with no cat and an Ultraflo muffler. It is currently running non-intercooled, although the NPR plumbing will be done next week. For 'boost control', I'm running a vacuum line directly to the wastegate can. This results in an immediate 5 psi, with it rising to about 10 psi by redline. I waiting for the NPR plumbing to be done before I add the grainger.
