what type of EGT thermocoupler is the best for a street/autocross/road race car? Ive seen some that are referred to as a street probe, some that are referred to as a type K, also, what is the best way to mount the probe? with a band clamp. or with small metal tube with threads in it that (from what it looks like) you weld onto the exhaust manifold or header or whatever.

street probes last longer the tip is much thicker than a race probe.
the pro's and con's are street=longer life slower temp responce
race= short life fast temp responce mounting is options is up to you.
