Let me run this by you: 3" down pipe to an Edelbrock RPM series muffler ( in place of the cat) which is 3" in and dual 2.5 " out. I mate one outlet to my existing 2.5 catback w/Ultraflow and fab a second 2.5 pipe w/Ultraflow for the right side. Now I have dual 2.5 over the springs (no interference) and more flow than a 3" single pipe and probably less noise as well. What do you think? John B

Sounds great!!!!!!! But why 3 mufflers, just one the one single one or the 2 Ultraflows. If you run 3 mufflers, you losing the flow and HP gain.

Maybe not; according to Gus's flow test on the Ultraflow it was as good as a straight pipe, and two in parallel have half the flow resistance as one, just like with intercoolers, and what's wrong with having it a little quieter? To me, the intake sound of a high performance engine is more impressive than loud exhaust noise.

Exhaust isn't like an intercooler, exaust is comprimised of sound waves and energy, running 3 mufflers with destroy that effect, and ruin its scavenging properties. Run one muffler, that you like and stick with it. 3 mufflers is overkill!

Wrong, loud woman and loud cars aren't correct!!!! lol!
loud exhaust doesn't mean more power. The Super Street series has found they run faster with mufflers than without!!!!
