I searched posts, but I got very mixed answers...

I currently have a 3" setup with a cheapo muffler and it exits under the sliding door. There is no catalytic converter.

I have heard of turbo leak or something like that when there is little to no backpressure, so I'm unsure of how to make my new exhaust.

I would like to run it all the way to the back and use a import-type muffler (the one I have has a 2.5" inlet).

Should I use a 2.5" pipe or a 3"? There will be no cat still, unless I can get a really good flowing one cheap!

if you already have a 3in system, get a 3in muffler, for turbo applications you want a straight thru design for minimal back pressure. visit www.fwdperformance.com to see some of the popular choices.

Well, the muffler I have is a straight through. This one:

It makes a nice bassey tone, not a normal fart can sound.

So I should go 3" then just get an adaptor for the muffler to 2.5"?

it kind of defeats the purpose of having a 3in. system because with a smaller muffler you are creating back pressure. you said it was a "cheapo" sell it and get a 3"
