Could a basic TBI header cause lag? Maybe from extra runner lenght or cooler exhaust gasses by the time it enters the turbine?

Yes I suppose it could; but the added flow compared to a stocker should outweigh the lack of proximity to the turbine. I heard that the TBI header flows 37% more than a ported cast-iron log, IIRC.
I've never ran one before Mike; I have an Alabama Man log header on my 2.2L and it works great.
Sorry I'm not much help!

I would love to get my hands on one of those headers. They seem to work well. Thanks for the reply, and happy birthday.

I have run van and omni with and without header, with t-2 garret and S-60. Never noticed a difference, tire smoking explosive boost.

*have been using a D-valve for a few years and may effect onset of boost, need to test further*
