my machinist anticipated it would be tough to install these, but it turned out that it was quite easy ..

I got mine from another TOML member who had gotten a set of 16 from eBay (and he only needed 8 )

they are a (more or less) standard type part, with IIRC a 0.500" "bottom" and the appropriate valve stem diameter top (9mm?) ; they fit many engines

any good machine shop will buy these things in bags of 100

they look like these (altho these are 0.530 & 11/32" for SBC, BBC, & SBF)
Ran those for years, there sweet. Many didn't know what they were when I did the conical spring thread first time around lol. The old hat style sucks. I believe mine were for a 426 Hemi.

Will the PT cruiser lifters, and the conical spring upgrade work on both swirl heads and G heads?

Lucky13: I believe they would work on the swirl heads as well.

I emailed the John at valveseal.com. He said to use the LS1 seal (98-01). Part number VS-805V. Below is the picture. It is a viton seal.

The good thing is that this seal is easy to find at Autozone or Advance Auto (around $22-$24 for 16, Felpro)

I have all the parts ready for my head but the seals. Once I get the seals, I will be taking the head to the machine shop for a valve job and head milling. I am done porting the head and deshrouding the valves. I mostly just removed any potrusions and steps in the casting. I also opened the bowl up a little and opened the runners a bit. A lot of time was spent deshrouding the valves. I also polished up the combustion chambers to keep the carbon from sticking. It should do the job, even if it's not perfect.
