Cuz I sure don't.

I have a 89 Shadow 2.5 T1 Automatic. I have been doing alot of reading on how to intercool my new best friend.

Overall the best fit people seem to say is an intercooler from a 1st Gen Cummins. "Like it was meant to be there"

However, I have a few questions. Could someone post a clear pic of one, showing where the outlets are and everything? I am trying to understand why they fit so perfectly. Yes I have been looking for one for the last few hours and with no luck.

Where exactly are the inlet and outlet on the end tanks? Are they in the middle or toward the top or bottom? What are the overall dimensions?

These have been somewhat difficult to find for me and they seem to have a skinny skinny core. I figure if I can find one of similar dimension with a thicker core, then I shall be "cooler" than all of the cummins guys. Thats why I am trying to figure out the exact dimensions.

All cummins intercoolers have the i/o on the endtanks which are metal and not plastic like some. From the outside of both the inlet and outlet my 92 cummins cooler is 37 1/4 which is just 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch smaller than my frame. Its 2in thick, 13 tall, and is 40in from the end of each mounting tab.

Hope that helps....

This is the IC I like, twice the boost air area of a Cummins, better flowing bar and plate IC. Cheap.

Ebay, $115 shipped. Think there is a vendor here that sells it. 31" x 12" x 3" thick, 3" outlets

Oh, and not only are the new intercoolers taller, but the 2005 and newer ARE plastic end tanks.

Shouldn't be a big problem until over 40psi though (I'm running almost 40 thru mine right now).
