since its just pvc, why not put 2 screws in the couplers through the piping? I haven't tried it, but haven't run PVC either.

That ABS turns to an oil type substance when you hit it with 400+ degrees of heat. As I work with PVC for a living I can tell you that you need to go to steel. The pipe is shrinking on every 1/4 blast and you might as well installed the coupler with grease. For the most part you did a nice job with the rest, the idea is nice. But the material will never stand for it.
