got bored today, was wanting to redo vacuum lines.
after installing new injectors, fuel rail etc , i had this extra fuel rail laying around. got a brainstorm to cut it up and make a vacuum block out of it.

first i cut the rail in half next to the schrader valve. then left it about 3 inches or so long, so that i had one stand for a fuel injector, the schrader and just straight tube. drilled 4 holes in it- one for each vacuum supply- map, FPR, boost gauge and EVAP. kinda looks like a flute at this point.

then i took 2 pennies and soldered them onto the ends to seal it up. worked pretty well.

for vacuum nipples, i had a 20 pack of MIG welder tips. i dont wear them out enough to worry about having that many, so i took 4 and chucked em up in a drill and used a file to give them a ridge to prevent blowing the hoses off under boost. soldered those into place

for the main vacuum input, i just used some left over 5/16 fuel line and a fitting, soldered those into the injector stand on the tube. hooked it all up with silicone hose and rubber elbows.

looks decent, a lot better than the tangled mess that was there before. the vacuum tube would look a lot better if i had used a drill press and took my time making sure the holes for the vacuum nipples were straight, but otherwise it turned out good and works like a champ. and if i decide i need more vacuum ports all i gotta do is drill more holes and add more nipples.
basically just made this out of trash and 2 pennies. my .02 to add to the community! lol

ROFL. That's awesome! Another perfect example of the thrifty but creative abilities of the TD community.

I hope nobody from the government sees this. Isn't it a crime to destroy money?
