Ya im an A/C tech, and not to beat a dead horse but you would be better off either doing a water/air with a ice resivor or an air/air with some form of chemical cooling. That will probably give you the best results to be had. Even though most automotive A/C systems are grossly oversized, it still wouldnt be affective( id spectulate it might drop the temp 5^F) because of the high temp of the aircharge, the high underhood temp and the velocity of the air moving over the coil. In my opinion the best(even though it still wouldn't be worth it,even if it works) Would be to get a custom 3.5ton/42000btu condensing unit for a med. temp aplication (like a cooler, lobstertank, etc.) and make a chiller out of it. Im not going to bother going into the rest of it, like trying to power it because its just not practical. Why bother trying to add all the extra weight when there are easier not to mention cheaper ways to drop your aircharge temp.
