Wrong section but okay Ill answer your question. The Taft cams are very good; pricey, but they are great.

Stage 1 is no better than the stock cam....stage 2 is excellent for street car....stage 3 is race only.

Here's a thread by someone who actually dyno tested a few cams:

I would expect that the S-1 would have to be some improvement over the '89 turbo stocker because it has essentially the same specs but with .020" more lift. The additional lift can only help, all else being the same. Shouldn't it?

I can't say your wrong; I don't think any high boost dyno comps have been done on the S1. My reasoning is, assuming the stocker is "best" at high boost levels, then the S1 will be even better. The higher lift with the same timing means faster lift rates which means more flow all through the cycle, not just at max lift, and without the "compression leak" of a long duration camshaft. Anyway, I've got one and I'm going to do comparisons between the stock '89 T1, the '88 T2, and the S1. I'll have to rely on my G-meter and take the time to dial in each cam with the gear adjuster so it won't be exact science by any means. But if there are any significant differences it should show up in the readings. I'll be using no more than 18 psi so the '88 T2 "should" be best according to conventional wisdom. I'm betting on the S1. I'll post the results when I get back home to try all this good stuff; I'm stuck in Africa at the moment.

True, but there's still no way it's gonna be more than 10 HP over the stock cam...still not worth $300.
18 PSI is a pointless test, thats not really ''high boost'', I'll be surprised if it is worth 5 HP at 18 PSI. I'm testing a stage 2 taft at 22 PSI VS the stock 88' roller, and I also have a super 60 cam to try out.
