Whats in front the airbox? (89 turbo voyager)

From this pic looking from next to the battery down. it seems to tucks back there somewhere. Is there anythig hooked up or is it just air ducting? I want to pull from the TB forward out replace it with an open element cone filter setup type thing

That hose goes to the turbocharger. I don't think you'd want to replace it with a cone filter

The hose just to the rear of the battery goes to the SMEC. You don't need that hose, if that's the one you're referring to...

The big tube goin in the direction of the arrow, is there any electrical connections or censors hooked up behind there?

But if your not running an intercooler, you may actually lose power by sucking in the hot engine air. These stock setups have been to 300 hp.

thats the plan, to gut the AC stuff, intercool it, ect
This was just the first question that ive been wonderign about for a while
And i want to clean up the engine bay a bit, that setup ,to me, just looks to cluttered
