Has anyone had a Blitz blow off valve? I picked up some intercooler piping that has a flange for a Blitz bov and I am curious if they are able to hold a fair amount of boost. I will be running 20-25 pounds of boost in the future, and want something to hold it. Will this do the trick?

Thanks,
Ryan Johnson

blitz is an expensive and very good blow-off valve depending onthe model, i have had mine onmy car since the previous owner installed it, have had no problems with it not holding boost levels up to 21psi, have not gone past that but im sure it wouold hold pressure, it is desigined for hi hp applications like the greddy type s also a good bov that i had on my other car, no leaks, personally i like the sound of the blitz better than the greddy its more of a woosh and an ear piercing whistle like that of the greddy.

Yeah i have noticed that they are pretty spendy, I was debating on either getting a Blitz or making an adapter and using a modified talon bov. I just read that they only hold 18 lbs of boost, which I thought might be a conservative rating. Do you know if they have swappable springs to help hold more boost or are they adjustable? What model did you have?

Thanks,
Ryan Johnson

The blitz is a very effective BOV. My friend has one on his RX-7. It vents the pressure so fast compared to my Talon BOV.
