Depends on turbo, wastegate can, exhaust system, intercooler design/size, head type etc.

The spring that comes in most of the valves that people run will only hold a little over 20 PSI from what I have read. The spring in the GVs that I have made was rated at 20PSI. If you look in the faq section you will see a thread about taking another style of pressure relief valve, and using the springs and top of that valve to allow for higher boost.

That being said, one of the larger portions of the equation is the turbo/wg setup as other posters have mentioned. Also pressure loss through the IC would be a contributing factor.

Most small can WGs will only hold a little over 20PSI when shimmed, and stock TII turbos will only put out around 25 PSI for many, altough I have read as high as 28. Larger turbos and stronger WGs will obviously do better at putting out the high boost.

I have a grainger valve on my Shelby Lancer. It has a stock '88 TII engine/turbo/intercooler, large can wastegate, 3" exhaust with no cat and straight thru muffler. I'm currently pushing about 20 psi thru it and the grainger is threaded nearly all the way in. I tried removing the grainger valve and running no boost controller and boost shot to 24 psi so I reinstalled the maxxed out grainger valve to keep it at 20 psi. The boost falls off about 1-2 psi as the engine approaches redline.

NPR I/C, 3" Exhaust, Highly ported. All on a well built 2.5L.

My best 1/4 mile time to date is et.12.42 @ 109.76mph with 1.92 60's. on 22psi via custom 3 bar cal. I want to run 27 to 30 psi and see what the GLH will do. I want to know if a simple granger will do?
I want in the 11's bad

If you make the hybrid valve like stated in the faq, you will have several springs to chose from. They will give you all the boost you could want.

It should. If not, you can lock the wastegate closed with a vacuum pump. I used to do that when I maxed out the stock turbo.
