I was looking on ebay to try to find the 2.2 supercharger that Mopar made for a little while. I happened to stumble across an electric supercharger called the Typhoon Supercharger. It looks like a reasonable idea to me, and I think it should be capable of pushing the 500+ cfm's that it says it can. But I'm wondering if that will improve hp like they say. 20HP? I dunno... I don't know if any of you guys have heard of it, there's not much info on it around the net, I couldn't find any reviews or anything of the sort. It seems like a good idea to mess with, but I don't know if it would actually work. I sure wouldn't mind a few extra ponies kicking in my stock Aries!

Here's the link to there site.

yeah I heard about that a few years ago, I don't believe it at all. I think I heard a review somewhere where it said that it actually decreased engine efficieny because it was an obstruction or something. I don't know anybody with one so I can't say for certain, but I would probably spend my money elsewhere.

Sorry, I just looked at the site, this particular one looks and seems to operate differently from the one I saw a few years ago, but it's the same concept. This one does look like it could potentially do something but I'm definitely skeptical. Oh and the one I saw a few years ago was called the toronado I think. Sorry again about the misunderstanding

i think the one ur talking about is called the tornado. All that did was swirl the incoming air to make it more dense so it burned less fuel or whatever. to bad it hardly worked and cost 70 bucks

500 cfm is nothing. A total waste of almost $200. You could spend your money else where as in a good tune-up, larger exhaust with a high flow cat and muffler, etc.

OR..... for a mere $25 +S/H, you can easily gain 20 HP by adding a Dawes Device Grainger valve.
I know as I love when I post these pics.

My 87 GLHS bone stock:

Same car with G-valve set for factory boost level:

And on that bone stock car (aside from G-valve) the adj sprocket didn't do squat.

If I had hair Id use one for a blow dryer. If you want to see how retarded those are. Look at a dyno without a turbo, then look at the dyno with the turbo, it is huge. Perhaps Larry J can repost his dyno when he wired the wastegate open, the car made like 125 h.p., then hooked up the stock T3 and it went to like 280 or something.

In short those are retarded, for 200.00 you can get a used turbo and make a ton of power.
