I have a garrett T2 turbo off the car and off the exhaust manifold... would it be better for me to leave it alone or put on a large can waist gate and a bigger swing valve... what if any performance would I gain??
Thanks inadvance,
Rob

the T2 garret should have the bigger wastegate can on it already...the bigger swingvalve would defintaly give you gains..but remember if you upgrade your swingvalve upgrade your exhaust to!

If you have the small can and are planning on running any more than 13psi or so then yeah changing it out would be a good idea. The swingvalve is a no brainer...but like was said do the rest of the exhaust and also if possible the exhaust manifold should be ported too.

87-88 TII cars came with the small can. I run a small can on my shadow, and it will hold 22PSI with a couple of washers to shim it.

The exhaust is obviously a huge upgrade. A 2.5in. SV would be a good upgrade if you can get one for cheap, but a 3" won't show huge gains like that money could get you elsewhere, assuming your setup is relativly stock.
