are those the ones that the compressor housing is made in 2 sections then superglued together? If I had an extra $300 sitting around I'd like to get one of these and see how/if it works. I realize that when you pay $300 for a $750 turbo, something has to be wrong, but I wonder what, and how much abuse it would take before it would show itself. Additionally, why are the ported evo turbos worth $200 more than the hybreds?

"When you connect the pipe to the turbocharger DO NOT use any kind of glue on the gasket to seal it up. The glue will decrease the flux of the oil and break the turbocharger."
Ok, you can't write this stuff, its funny shit!!!!!!!!
Oh wait, they did.
Yeah, the broken english is there but seriously, the quality looks good. I have seen one of those cheap XS turbos and this one looks ok, the straps that hold the housings are nice and thick, the XS ones were thin, very thin. The turbine wheel looks cast and not stamped steel and you can see the nut has been ground away.

That is a term that you can see on the cover of movies and books for 50+ years. O well I find people that really like terrorists too. What Japan did was worse than what a few arabs did on 9/11. Still not a racists term though, I could think of many. One of my kids last year called a kid black because he didn't know his name and he was the only black kid in a group he was trying to pick for a game. The school said it was racist to call the kid black, I was told he was to be called colored. Then I talked to the parrents and they freaked out and said being called colored is racist. My opinion is that a shorter name like Jap is like my being called Rob. Well my name isn't Rob it's Robert, but I don't give people crap. Call me a WOP and thats different, give it a rest.

I would get offended if someone called me white LOL!!!!!!!!!!!
What is the big deal with being called black? I'm white, you're black, someone fill me in. Its been bothering me for years. Seriously. I'm not trying to be smarty pants. The term "color" makes no sense to me. Is it African American or American African? The world is going to hell. blah blah blah.

Okay, so getting back on the subject thread..... If someone on the list buys one, just have a reputable shop check it out. Tear it down and check the bearings and balance and see how it is. Obviously you get what you pay for, but if the cheap stuff can be replaced and you're on a budget....

It would be worth the chance, worst case scenario is you have to have it rebuilt....then you ended up paying normal price anyway.

Now obviously since YOU have so much $ invested in your vehicle with a nice IC like that, it's not worth it to you to take the risk. You obviously have plenty of money to blow, so go ahead and dish out $700+ for a new turbo.
