YOU have so much $ invested in your vehicle with a nice IC like that, it's not worth it to you to take the risk. You obviously have plenty of money to blow, so go ahead and dish out $700+ for a new turbo.

Not really. You owe it to your self, weither you have a home built engine that you fix every weekend, to a shiny new show car, to not have castitrophic failure due to some possible inferior made unit. Look, if you can afford 300.00, the wait long and get a better piece, made from a reputable source.

If i had a car that was in expendable, i would give it a shot. What the hell. But i would not reccomend just trying it becasue you wanna go fast now,
and this could be a short cut. Plus, if a turbo charger blew apart, a td firewall isnt that thick you know.....

The turbine housing alone is worth $175+ shipping. It's worth $290 shipped for that turbo for parts alone, but have it checked out first before using if you feel uncomfortable.

Although, for somebody to say you have to change your oil 4 times to install a turbo does make you a little weary about buying from them LOL.

I'll pass on that turbo. Too sketchy with the specs.

.63 A/R COLD
.58 5 BOLT STANDARD HOT SIDE
3"INLET DIAMENTER
2"OUTLET

.57 COMPRESSOR WHEEL TRIM
.60 A/R COMPRESSOR
.63 A/R TURBINE
57 TRIM

So, which turbine housing does it actually have? Which compressor housing is it again? Since the description contradicts itself I don't want anything to do with it.

Wonder where they got that .58 hot side... might be a good upgrade for street cars but not clear to .63 on a 2.2...

Additionally, why are the ported evo turbos worth $200 more than the hybreds?
That story is getting really old. There were a total of 2 turbos that ever sold like that and the people got replacements.

Thats what happens when some idiot throws a display model into be sold.

I had one of those.. for about 2 days. First off, the car (spirit r/t) was faster with the stock turbo. Then, the day after I install it (mind you, I DID break it in per the directions) I mashed the throttle, and at 17 psi all the sudden got a huge white cloud behind me as my face almost hit the windsheild. Turned out, the shaft actually broke and the turbine wheel went out my exhaust, slamming into my brand new cat, as well as soaking it in oil. Tried to get a refund to pay for my TURBONETICS turbo (live and learn) and they said they would refund me, so i shipped it back, just to have another POS turbo arive at my door a few weeks later. Wasnt all bad though, cause I sold it on ebay for more than i payed for it hehe. All I can say is I have learned this the hard way, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR when buying cheap chinese parts on EBay. Dont buy that turbo!!

Well maybe it was because you are beating the crap out of a fresh turbo? It needs broken in just like a fresh engine does. You should go easy on it for atleast a couple hundred miles.

Hmm, Ive got a super cheap turbo on my car, and it ate 5 ringlands and didnt even get damaged. I dont regret the 300 bucks I spent on my cheap turbo besides that 57 trim doesnt work for me.
