ok, I have finally decided that now is the time to work my 89 shadow 2.5 turbo over and have some fun, I talked to a guy today and he did some recommendations and now I need input on them, first get a bigger fuel pump ( what size is biggest I should get without going over board?), second is new injectors ( any recommedations?) third is get a bigger turbo put on it, he said a mazda 626 gt turbo ( is this good?) fourth is a boost controller ( dont even know what this one is, fifth is have a reflash done on ecu ( where do I find someone to do dodges and can the computer be off the car for this?) so I need lots of suggestions here.... any input?

Read the turbo database. Read it again.

Like Kevin said; read the Dodge Garage turbo database section several times. It helps things sink in, make sense and lowers confusion over the terms if you read it a lot.

Walbro 255, you probably won't have to upgrade again. No, it's not actually overkill.

Get some that are paired to the boost and power you plan to make. See below.

On the Mazda turbo, meh is all I can say. The Dodge Garret's are a practically bolt-in proposition.

Calibration: FWDP or TU should be able to do one for you. Don't order one blindly, do some asking around and most importantly talk with the vendors about what you want to do.

Okay, I suggest you begin with the simple bolt-on upgrades rather than opening up the engine and/or buying more expensive items. Why? Because it will be easier, you'll maximize your bang for the buck ratio, and you might end up being satisfied before blowing lots of money.

Upgrade #1 is always the exhaust system. At the very least, do a cat-back with a straight-through muffler (such as a Dynomax UltraFlo or a Magnaflow). If you've got a few extra bucks, upgrade to a high-flow cat as well. Installing 2.5" pipe will be sufficient with the stock Mitsu turbo, but if you really think you'll upgrade your turbo later on then going with 3" pipe now will be beneficial.

Upgrade #2 will be adding an intercooler. You have numerous options; for best results choose one which has low pressure drop through the core. You'll need to get a little creative to run the piping, but your efforts will be rewarded.

Upgrade #3 is simple: install a Grainger valve set for 13 psi. See the manual boost controller page at the web link others have posted.

On my current '89 Caravan (same engine as your car), doing these three upgrades cut two full seconds off my quarter mile time. This will make your Shadow feel llike a whole new car.

The most cost effective and easiest would be a csx intercooler setup, it'll be bolt in for you.
