Still trying to decide which intercooler for my van, so I'm looking for inspiration.

Was hoping mini owners could post pics or links to pics of their setups here.

Trying to figure out how to arrange everything (rad., transcooler, condenser, i/C).

Van is gutted, so I'd like to keep A/C...it's going to be hot with no carpet.

If this was covered in another thread, let me know.

Thanks.

JR

This won't work with A/C, of course, but here is my 2005 setup:

That's a Thunderbird intercooler, and it's actually an elegant install if that's what you want to run. I installed it as a temporary crutch when I sold my PowerStroke IC in preparation for a (much delayed) triple core setup, which I'm finally getting around to having built. Good times ahead!

Also seen in that pic are my two-row radiator (I got it out of a junkyard P-body) and the largest trans cooler I could find. I'm very happy with the performance of both.

Thanks for the pic! Is the trans cooler aftermarket or stock off another car? Thanks. JR

It is aftermarket. I bought it at AutoZone; it was the largest one they carried.

BTW: I made sure to mount it directly in front of the radiator fan. In this manner, when I turn on the fan I'm drawing air over the entire surface of the trans cooler as well as most of the radiator (I'm running the full-width fan shroud). My dragstrip power-braking habits made doing this sound like a good idea.

Mine that still has a/c. I did move the tranny cooler over in front of the a/c condensor but I don't think I have any pics of that.
