Well just got done with a 85 ish turbo 1 and converted it to t2 specs for second time. Went alittle easiler this time around. Took a total of 4 hours to do. I did one thing different this time. Since the mitz turbo was dead I pulled it apart to see how small these turbo really is. Then I got the compressor housing off and was looking at to see how it was designed. Well when I got to the part about make it a straight in, instead of 90 degree in. The last time I cut the flange flush cut the end off the other side and jb welded it. Work good until the turbo went to hell. Other thing it was smaller then the hose from the airbox. I compared the to inlets of two turbos and came up with an Idea.

So this what I did. Took the mitz housing cut off the outer edge until it was just the center. Notch the three holes in the side to get a mounting place. Clean it up with an die grinder with a sander wheel and turned out great looking. If anyone has done this or would like to see pics of what looks post a reply below. Also note the time I posted this.

I did something similar to that. The mitsu grenaded on my 88 T1 Shadow. So I was putting the Garrett on it that came from my 85 LeBaron and ran into the problem of the inlet being to small. Cut the inlet off the mitsu and epoxied it to the 3-bolt flange from the garrett's 90^ elbow that i cut off. Workin' great so far. I'd like to see some pics of how you made yours if you can.
