Why not? TD's came auto with turbo's. Easier to launch and brake torque for boost.

Yeah, I drag raced an auto for the first time this season in my Horizon after I did the turbo swap into it. I liked it so much, I almost never want to drag a stick car again! Sucks for daily driving tho.. Less BOV action..

Cool i thought it would be a waste of time my plan for this car is a fun car Auto X car to be honest plan is to put a turbo and intercooler set of plugs and a few more odds and ends. How much more horsepower will a turbo add to an engine like this 1.5 litre?

Almost doubles the horsepower for each 15psi you add.. So if you add 7psi of boost, figure 50% more horsepower, maybe more since you're not lowering compression.. Google "devilsown", you'll need their alcohol injection kit to turbo an N/A motor..

Automatic is much faster because you always have constant boost.
with a 5spd in the other hand everytime you switch gears you loose your boost and have to build up again. 5spd are fast on the high automatic is fast were it counts "drag strip"
