I've take the compressor housing off of my HX35 to inspect the blades and rotate the housing. The question I have is there is a locator pin to align the turbo at the correct angle from the factory and I was wondering if I removed the pin to rotate the housing is the snap ring going to be enough to keep it from spinning? Should I decide where I want it and slot the housing in a different place so the pin will seat? I'm thinking the pin is just there for ease of orienting it when assembling but want to make sure before I grind it off

yeah it does just fine without the pin in most cases. you may need to redo the pin if you have heavy piping hanging off it trying to turn it tho. just try it and see what happens

I removed mine....it worked fine when I used it. That snap ring is pretty tight...
