I've got 100 miles on rebuilt motor now and it is still smoking like it was before the rebuild. I thought it was coming from a dropped valve guide it had but this is a differant head that I had rebuild, so most be the turbo.
So i guess it's time to upgrade. Can you guys let me know what you would get without spending more than $600 + or -.
The car is a 85 omni GLH Turbo.
One piece intake.
+20 injectors.
Adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
85 2.2 block.
Forged TII crank and rods.
Forged 40 over vennolia pistons.
4 puck clutch.
Toyota Supra intercooler.
GLHS stage 2 computer.
Poly mounts.
It will be a daily driver, well almost. Future up grades include +40's, spearco, TU custom flash.

Thanks in advance.
One more thing I did my own port and polish on the g-head. And still has stock 5 speed.

Daily driver, weekend racer?
HP or track goals?

Your limited with your budget but for about $750
there are bolt on turbos (not hyrbid) that will boost
as quick as stock and support high 12's in your car.

Super 60! I just put one on today. I bought a t2 turbo for my car when the original died. I had no plans of running 12s with my car so I thought it was good enough. My plans changed and I wanted to run 12s. You have all the right equipment on your car to make some serious HP. Get the super 60 or a hybrid.

You guys stole my answer! Everybody wants to
put a huge hybrid on, our heads are crap best
and we should make the best use we can of them!

S-60: spools "just" like stock, supports 12 second
runs, wins street light races ect. It will NOT get
you over 300HP without pushing limits, you will
never run 11's in your street car. But realy what
do we want from our drivers here? 12 second daily
driver that boosts out of the hole like a twin turbo
Carrara and can be swapped on the wifes turbo mini
and she will never know the difference.

Hybrid is the only way to go for BIG power, its your
realistic goal you should keep in mind tho. Just my
2 cents.

Thanks for the replies. Are you guys talking about the super 60 with the .63 turbine housing or the .48 turbine housing.

If I buy the .63 housing but use the stock wheel and compressor side would I see any benifits? My wife doesn't want to let me spend another $800 right now. I have another TI turbo that was good when I took it off but the .48 housing is cracked and has bolts broke off in it.

I forgot to mention that I have the TU 3" SV and full 3" exhaust.

Go with the S60. A larger housing is nice, but does little for what you are capable of. It already comes with the S60 anyways.

if you are going to keep the car you might as well put a t3/t4 on it, I bought a rebuilt one on ebay for 300$ and it is more than i'll ever need on my 89csx. I run 15psi and this thing is a monster, you would need to run higher boost with a t3 platform. mine is a 46 trim so it still spools up quickly.

I would but I'm not sure what to look for. Did the one you got have the chrysler turbine housing that bolts to our manifolds? If not what all did it take to make it work and what exactly did you get?

You need the head touched up and valves backcut if you run that.
You will get more WHP at lower boost levels which = reliability!
