I have 4 TII radiator in my room.

I probably sold another 5 of them in the past 3 years.

They are common enough in LA/Orange country

Where is the other yard? I can use a spare A555.

its in stockton, ca. There were actually 2 of them there a month ago when i was there (one of them has been there since at least february, when my dad was there and got the radoator and intake stuff for me. One is a red turbo GTC, the other is a daytona shelby. I have a shelby charger, and i drove one with a swapped in A555 one time and i really didnt like the shifter, so thats why i didnt want one. Im just going to put a A523 in it for now, and if i blow that up i will get a A568

You're lucky...that's awesome! Why would someone, who's obviously an enthusuast just ditch a converted van like that? You should take a closer look at the head and cam, see if they're modded, ported or anything special. The first thing I do if I see a car at the yard thats even remotely modified, is check to see if there's anything good they left behind elsewhere.

I'm sure you could disassemble the seats and redo them or tighten them up. Probably some stripped nuts or bolts inside....or god forbid a broken bracket or something....nothing a welder couldn't handle. Cheap Home Depot fix!

Then Iowa must be one of them, I've only seen ONE T2 car when I was 14 and it was a black 89 T-top daytona shelby for $400 and thats it, I've never seen a 87-88 ShelbyZ either.... Somehow I manage to stumble upon the "freak's" like my 92 Spirit turbo.

i just wish i iknew if the shelby seats could be fixed because they are in good shape, they just have too much slop[/quote]

I believe there was a recall on a lot of the '80s seats. I don't remember if they applied to the Shelby seats or not. But hey did flop around a lot. The guys at work would take them out an weld something on them. I can't remember if they added brackets to them or if they just welded them back together. I can't seem to find the recall here, though (too long ago).

South Bend, Indiana, eh? Hmmm. That's up north, right?

<pause while Dempsey jumps out and checks Mapquest>

I have (had?) a good friend Rich Johnston who was into the turbo Dodge/Shelby scene when he lived out here in Utah. He moved to South Dakota for a while, then moved again to Gary, Indiana. That's where he was when we last spoke on the phone, although it must have been 4 or 5 years ago by now. Anyway, I know he bought a turbo minivan to use as a family hauler... I think while he was in South Dakota. He told me he intercooled it and put a Garrett turbo on it. I wonder if this might have been his van?

Next time you're out at that yard, write down the entire VIN and email/pm it to me. It's a ridiculously long shot, I know, but I'm very curious.

South bend, eh? Shoot me a PM, I'm looking for a longblock and would love to know where the yard is at. That's not too far from me (maybe 2 hours depending on traffic), I'm close to the border and my gf lives in Highland.

Let's take a trip, both my gf and I drive trucks so we can help you haul whatever you need if you'd like to get together.
