I know this has been covered many times, but I do not understand why the Logic Module has to be from an 86-87 GLHS or 87 T-II Daytona/CSX- (thedodgegarage.com). I would like to take the intake manifold, injectors, fuel rail, FPR, throttle body, AIS, TPS, (and maybe the valve cover) from a '92 Shadow at the local junk yard. Based on the info from the Dodge Garage, it looks like I will need to use an 86-87 GLHS computer rather than the Shadow computer. Is this because of changes made throughout the years that would make the computer incompatible with my '85 Daytona? Just trying to understand a little better.
Also, is there anything else I will need to take from the Shadow? I believe the turbo on this car is a Mitsubishi. Does that cause any problems with my conversion? I do not plan on taking the turbo. I was just going to notch my exhaust manifold to make room for the intake manifold.
Thanks.

glhs logic mod has the map sensor in it. The daytona logic module is under the hood. You should use the logic for a t2 car. But use a logic module for a car after 86 you need to change the distriber to an 86-92 turbo only. The 85 will not run right on 86 and later. As for the intake and trottle body. Use the injector harness from the 85 and the fuel rail and injetor from the shadow. As for the reason logic mod change is that the 85 computer isn't wired for 4 wire ais sensor. If your get the csx/daytona logic you just need to run 2 wires to make it idle. Take the value cover since it got a one piece gasket instead of a 4 piece rubber cork. The turbo would make it easy for converting the turbo but you will be limited for mods. You do need to mod or replace the compressor housing since the outouts and in won't be able to to plumb to anything. I done a 2 T2 conversion on 85 TD so I been there done that.

Thanks for the reply! I forgot about the distributor swap. Also, I wasn't totally sure about being able to use my injector harness. Thanks for that tip. BTW...my logic module is located inside the car on the passenger side kick panel with the map sensor on the side.

the reason to run the 86 or 87 LM setup is to minimize the wiring you have to do. The 87 daytona LM is better to use because it shortens the vac line and increases the signal reaction to hte MAP sensor. It also has slightly faster proccessing speed. Either way you're going to be moving a couple wires around and adding 2-4 wires depending on what puter you use. A dental pick works great for pushing down the lock tabs on the pins at the LM and getting them to come out without breaking.
