I have an 89 2.5 with a mitsu turbo. Will this turbo work for an upgrade and if so, what would I need to make it work? All the info for it is below.

GARRETT TURBO SUPER 60 super60 New 57 Trim 60-1 50 Trim
Garrett Super 60 Turbo charger. A.R. 60 M 11.
The exhaust side is .48
It was on a 240sx 2.4L

Thanks
Vaughn

I'm going to guess that exhaust housing flange is a standard T3 and will not bolt up without an adapter.
If you have a Garret exhaust housing section around you could consider swapping that housing over to it.

You need new lines too.

Thanks, would it be hard to get an adapter, and what would that cost?

I personally think you'd be better off swapping the housings. If the turbo isn't all rusted up it should take too long. Finding a dirt cheap replacement won't be too hard either. What's the exhaust pipe outlet set-up like on that garret you got?

Now it could be just me, but it looks like you've listed enough info for 2 or 3 different turbo's there? Is it a 57trim or 50 trim?

The turbo has A.R. 60 M'11 stamped on the side. It also has 2 chipped compressor fins. What would be the most I should pay for this turbo? And where could I get a housing from?

Thanks
Vaughn

I wouldn't pay anything for it if it has chipped compressor fins, thats likely to cause an unbalance screw something up.

yup, that means the compressor has hit the housing, so the only thing thats good on it is the exhuast wich is pretty much exactly the same as a garrett in the junkyard.

its a stock turbo 2 garret. ITs in pretty good shape. When I pull the head I will know in how good of shape. I am unsure of the mileage becasue I bought it second hand from a friend. I know there is no shaft play. Hopefully I will have it off by the end of the month. PM me so I will remember to get in touch with you.
