anybody ever change a swing valve with the turbo still on the car? seems like it would be really easy

It would be but odds are your going to break the bolts if it never been off before. I took a swing value off yesterday and the first one came out I was like yes the next 4 broke.

with a mitsu there is 4 bolts all on the outside of the SV, on a garrett there is 5 and 1 is inside the SV. Just in case you didnt know.

if you can take out the O2 sensor with the turbo in the car... not only are you the man but you can probably get the SV out. The risk you run is that one will break and you will be screwed. If you can let penetrating oil soak on it for a while you will be enhancing your odds of success.
