VERY simple...ive got a fairly good idea of the size of that big rig turbo..and 2 mitsu's alone "should" be able to push enuf volume and psi to spool that monster without useing exhaust as well...your playing in the relm i have been in for many years...kitbashing for fun

seriously, this is so far out in left field that i cant believe theres serious discussion going on about it. I certainly am not afraid of doing anything different, hell i drive a ford with a dodge computer. but this is different...

Won't there be problems with the exhuast pushing out the inlets of the mitsus? What kind of boost are you trying to make that you can't do with two mitsus anyways : D You could put the monster turbo out the hood to scare people : )

if it dosnt work, of course ill just pipe in the 2 mitsus, but why not try just for fun anyway? how often do you see a 4 banger with somthing like this?
its what hot roding is all about, taking the most impractical route to do somthing retarded... because its fun to build and it turns out difforent than any thing else on the street, and for me, it costing nothing to build, so why not?

dont you be trashing on "classic hotroding"...redneck engineering its tossing something together to get it by....hotrodding is takeing the least traveled route to gain performance and uniqueness....im doing a 2.5 turbo in the back of a 58 lloyd.......a custom exhaust manifold with 2 turbos feeding another isnt all that far fetched imo

I think that would be a better sized turbo for an old new yorker with a 440

That would be torquey

I don't think you will be able to spool the thing, but here is some helpful info. The only way to route that contraption correctly would be like this:

The exhaust needs to follow this path:
Exhaust enters small turbine inlets. Small turbine outlets feed large turbine inlet. Large turbine outlet goes to the muffler/etc.

The inlet side needs to follow this path:
Intake air enters the large compressor inlet. The large compressor outlet is connected to the 2 small compressor inlets. The 2 small compressor outlets then go to the intercooler/throttle body.

Good luck! At the very least it will look crazy, lol.

I dont think that inlet idea would work so great. Once the big turbo starts spooling its going to murder the little turbos.
