OK, see the diagram where the wastegate solenoid is? Don't think of it as a top and bottom, look at where the "T" is on it. One side has a T the other side comes straight out. Vacuum source goes in the T side perpendicular to the 'noid. Wastgate line out the other part of the T and the bleed out the straight side. See what I mean? That's how it is in the diagram you just linked. It appears you have it hooked up correctly now.

It's easy to confuse it. I thought the diagram was a "picture" of how the 'noids sit too. But it's not, you have to go by the connections, not the orientation.

HTH!

PS - you still might have other things hooked up wrong. If I were you I would hook up all the vacuum/solenoid connections per the diagram. Then you can start ruling things out.

Do I need a seperate hose from vac. source for every solenoid connection or can I have it like I do now with one large hose teeing off into a couple smaller hoses close to the solenoids?

I would put a single source for everything.

I tried the boost controller and still no luck. It's a Turbo XS piece so it should be working fine if hooked up correctly.

This is unrelated, but I also wanted to 'set' the TPS sensor, and no where in the 3 fsm's I have was there any mention of an actual procedure for setting it. They had a picture and a brief description. Why in the hell would something that important be left out. I think they have other stuff missing. Is the tps for this year non-adjustable?

with the mbc did you take out the orifice or did you leave it in there? Depending on which one you are using it may need one the vent side.

As for the tps is non-adjustable on the TD that I know of.

There is no such thing as "Setting" the TPS. You can clear the logic module memory for the TPS by unplugging the upper power module connector for 30 seconds. I told you the TPS was going bad on the car when I sold it to you. There is a minimum air flow adjustment that can be done but your throttlebody was fine. There is a common misconception that you can "set" the idle on these cars which is not true. Most people screw with the minimum airflow adjustment and screw up more than they solve. As far as your boost problem I will again ask what you did to the setup that was on the car when you bought it. I believe Randy had a small bleed in the system to allow 12psi which is plenty for the setup you have. By the way you do not have stock injectors in that car I think he put the 804's in there. If you need a hand feel free to ask.

Ok, that would explain it then. I had removed it from the t.b. when I cleaned it and after re-attaching it I thought I would need to adjust it.

The only thing I did was replace the hose from the vac source to fpr because it had a tee in it w/ another hose off the tee and a check valve with a small section of hose on the other end with a screw. I was wondering what it was there for and I couldn't think of any reason but I did think it may be leaking under boost possibly so that is why I removed it.

And regarding the injectors, I checked the #4418474 that is on them and they are stock injectors for this year.

Here is how I have it hooked up:

Other side:

Obviously the boost gauge is the blue anodized piece. The hose on the side across from that large brass fitting snakes around the black vac. source and connects to it on the other side.

The bottom hose w/ restrictor goes to the wastegate can. I'm not sure if I even need a restrictor with this b.c. The instructions did not mention using one. Regardless, I don't know if the restrictor should be on the wastegate hose like I have it or before the b.c. on the vac hose. I have tried it both ways including not using it and has not cleared up my problem. Also, I'd like to know if I may need a check valve before the b.c. to keep it from leaking under vacuum.

The large hose coming off of the vac. source has a tee that goes to fpr and to bottom of baro solenoid for map sensor. I read that these should terminate at the same location closest to vac. source as possible with no other hoses sharing their space.

The car does idle smooth setup like this. If I rev it in neutral it settles calmly and doesn't pop. When I drive it, the car will seem to be fine until I get into the gas, then it will surge/stutter while only reaching a max of 6 psi, maybe 8 or so quickly if I floor it in 1st or 2nd. If I clutch it in 1st or 2nd the exhaust usually pops where-as the higher gears it doesn't. I've watched the boost gauge during the surging and it doesn't fluctuate. When I let off the gas the vacuum is around 20".

No orifice or restrictor in the line any where. Do not use a check value since there one built into the mbc. If there a side that vents leave it vent.
