i have a le baron with a 2.5 turbo with a bad motor and i have a 88 shadow with a 2.2 tubo would the turbo off of the 2.5 work on the 2.2 and could the 2.5 turbo be bad if the engine over heated?

the turbo should bolt right up, but you'll need to change the coolant and oil feed lines between them. simply take them off the 2.5, the engines are very similar. the 2.2L will spool a little quicker but have a max boost of around 15psi I think.

as to the turbo being bad on the overheated engine... I dunno. take the turbo off and see how much slack is in the shaft. there should be a wee bit, but if the turbine touches the housing its shot.

actually they should be the same turbo, it should be a mitsu on both
