So, The car is an 89 Spirit (BASE Turbo, rare?). 2.5 T1 Automatic, of course. I just installed a rebuilt 3 speed and while I had it all apart I made a home grown cold-air intake for it. Nothing fancy, just some PVC and vacuum tees. I also installed an oil catch can. Now the car gets 5psi max even on the highway. I used to get 7-10 on the back roads (short bursts) from time to time and 7+ all the time on the interstate (above 70mph). So what did I mess up? The BOV is just attached to the end of its hose, zip-tied to the master cylinder. All the lines marked "to air box" on the diagram are running to barbs glued in the PVC intake pipe. I mean, I don't know what could be leaking. The catch can is connected to the PCV outlet tube "to air box" and the catch can's outlet goes to the intake tube. I know this is a long read but any ideas or info would be great....I miss that extra 3psi now that I have first and reverse back

Do you have the pcv seeing boost? Also do you got stock bov or aftermarket? Do got a vac/boost source to it? Bov should have one big hose and one little hose. Do have the stock rubber hose between the trottle body and turbo. If so do you have the big hose from the middle of the hose running to?

How do I know if the PCV is seeing boost?

The BOV is stock and hooked up as stock. The manifold source to the top and the large hose from the stock intake hose (between TB and turbo) on the bottom.

Thanks for the ideas, tell me about the PCV seeing boost.

Well the hose coming from the pcv going before or after the turbo. Other then that check to make sure that you got no leaks in the vac lines or in the hoses.

Stock BOV...hmmm.... I think it is leaking. How is it supposed to act? It lets a little air out at idle, but when you rev it up it still lets air out, more then at idle. Then, once you let off it lets a lot out, like normal. Is that "leaking" at low revs ok???
