OK, I just received a mail order second gen BOV that I thouhgt was to be first gen . Aside from it being uncrushable since it is plastic is it worth keeping? What boost levels can it hold? Should I sell it to recoup my money or keep it? I plan on running 18-20 lbs of boost

Thanks in advance,

Deric

Can someone provide me the pipe dimentions for this BOV. I want to use it maybe in my Audi. Now i have the stock one and it holds the 1.8 Bar overboost for some years now but improvement is always welcome.

Funny, I was just wondering if it was possible to use some sort of vacuum control to get the bov to hold more boost. I also picked up a used 1st gen and in comparing the two notice that the 2nd gen seemed to be harder to open w/o a vacuum source on the diaphram. That got me to thinking that if a person controlled the vac pressure the characteristics of the BOV would change (much like when we do it to a wastegate). Thanks for the tip cjmr34

ID of pipes are 30mm, OD is 34mm, the Mitsubishi part number is MR188465, Md160689 is the Eagle part number. Hope this helps.
