it should and it will be inside your air box behind the air filter if you want to hear it better you can pull it out of the airbox and you should hear it then just make sure you plug the holes in the airbox after

if you pull it out of the airbox you should put some kind of air filter on the 'inlet/outlet' since the BOV will draw air in when engine is under vacuum, and you want that air to be filtered

some people use a Moroso 'crankcase vent filter' which are available in many different sizes, and are reasonably cheap (try Summit or Jegs, or search here I saw a thread a while back with part #'s)

some people may just ziptie an oiled up sock toe over the BOV inlet/outlet ; certainly better than no filter at all but a bit ghetto

go to the ricer section of your local parts store. Amongst the clear pastic CAI's and radioactive symbol valve stem caps there will be a PCV filter that looks like it's a K&N, that one fits with some persuasion and you can definately still hear it. If you go past 12psi get a 1st get DSM valve, they should be no more than $25. I got an ebay knock of RFL for about that price too, I haven't put it on yet, but it looks pretty nice.

on the newer cars the bov was actually built into the airbox. the only way to remove it would be to cut that part off, but on the older cars (pre 90) the bov was clipped into the airbox and is removable. sorry.
