LOL these damn white shadows are cursed I tell you!

Your cars twin has been messing me around all year!

after rebuilding the engine the head cracked or was cracked
replaced that.
then the turbo blew up
replaced that.
next test drive the 3speed started to slip
thats about when i snapped.
I replaced the entire rebuilt engine/tranny with a known good 2.2L A520 and converted the car to a 5speed.

car was working awesome then i put on a manual boost controller set it to 14psi and burnt the clutch up in about 5 mins. lol

she's now resting till spring.

Actually, your crank was down a few thousands. So they cut the sides down, so it would close more. I'm going to have to press the rod out and use one of my old ones.

A NA block is fine, just need to drill out for the oil return boss and swap in turbo spec pistons. The crank from the NA can be used the heads are the same only parts of the valvetrain are different(cam, exhaust valves, and IIRC the springs) sounds like a good time to invest 160bucks in some S/S +1mm valves and have the head destrouded(sp?)

they left the pistons alone, just molested a rod.... instead of getting a 10 under bearing...
but I got my old rod pressed in today, and I'm waiting for a new set of crank/rod bearings now.

gotta love waiting. It's always a PITA. Especially knowing you have the time to work, and the ability to do it, but have to wait on a part. I guess find something else that could be done

Well it's been raining like hell, and it's too muddy to work on it

I need to drop the transmission in, thinking of doing the engine and trans at the same time... dunno what'd be easier. My shifter cable, and new 2.25" swingvalve for the garett should be here in 12 hours and the T2 compressor housing soon, found one for the price of shipping from Canada

I hope the bottom end goes together right this time... I'm going to be soo pissed off if something else goes fubar after I replace the rod bearings and journal bearings
