Can a 2.5 TI hit 12's without swapping over to a TII setup?

Just might have figured something out, can I retain the TI controls/wiring and just use a FWD-P stage 5 cal and exhause,injectors,etc... then I don't have to switch over? Still grasping it...

The mitsu would be under alot of stress, and probably would give out before it hit a 12second run. A garrett can get you there, depending on what car you are using.

That's reassuring. My last turbo car (89 Probe GT, and talk about small turbo!) it took a miracle to get anywhere close to a low 13 seconds! Wish I had a TD instead!

A mitsubishi turbo can certainly do it, if it is running on a go-kart. You will need a bigger turbo to achieve this in an automobile though.

Terry's son's stock 2.5 TI Shadow ran mid 13's on race gas this passed weekend. I'd say if you get a little more daring, and creative, 12's could be possible?

Got spare pistons laying around?

ok so if you went with the stage 5 cal, +40 injectors, etc... would this be a good time to toss the mitsu for a holset?

That mitsu turbo surely works hard even at stock horsepower levels. Mid 13's to high 12's is still a pretty big step to take.

i dont think anything like a holset would be needed... hell if your in an omni a stock Garrett would get you there... if in a daytona... ehhhhhh depending on mods and traction shoot for a super 70... ive always tried to stay away from anything like holset or hybrids... but thats just me... Donovans ran a 12.68
