I am a noob so don't make fun of me, but the wastegate solenoid controls how much pressure goes to the wastegate actuator can right? How does it do that if there is only one line going to it?

It doesn't control how much pressure. The solenoid is a on/off switch.

i have a 87 2.2 T1 so i dont know how different the turbo control is. the only solenoid with one line with vacumn/pressure is the baro solenoid thats on top of the map sensor. the wastegate solenoid is a on/off and depending if when its on or off i cant remember but the more pressure it dumps the more boost you get
