i have an 85 charger with an 88 commonblock motor in it. i got full three inch exhaust no cat no muffler, a mp stage 2 LM, + 20's and my 255 fuel pump will get put in this weekend. i got a grainger valve in it right now set at 14 psi. i was really wanting to see 18 or 20 psi out of the car before its time to park it for the winter, i have read about bleeds and diodes and shimming wastegates and of course a cal. my question is whats the easiest way and the safest way to do this. the motors got about 3500 miles on the rebuild adn i dont wanna hurt it. any advise would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

Easiest way: Zener diode ($10) or Fuel cut raiser from 3bar Racing ($40)

Safest way: Custom cal from FWDP or TU

Edit to add: The custom cals are as straightforward as it gets, just plug and play. You'll need a 3bar MAP sensor though if you plan to run more than 14.7lbs. They're going to cost you more though, you're looking at $125+ for a reliable cal. The 3bar sensor will put you back another $70.

Easiest and safest is the custom cal. If your final goals are 20 psi, get a 3 bar map and a custom cal set for that boost, plug them both in, and you're done. No messing with diodes or map bleeds, you'll get the right spark/fuel curves, and it'll be much more reliable in the end. Just make sure you don't end up maxing your injectors if you ever decide to run more boost.
