The hy35 was used on 2000-2002 (maybe 99-02 i cant remember for sure) dodge rams with a cummins and and auto trans. The manual trans trucks had an hx35 that has a much higher a/r due to its larger double inlet. Hm, that kind of sucks it wont spool till 3000. A friend of mine has 4 or 5 hx & hy 35s laying around not to mention all of the h1c's he has (1st gen cummins rams). Ive got some truck wheels he wants and i could probably get 2 or 3 turbos off of him. oh well, maybe a 318 magnum would get along better with an hy35.

you consider 3000 rpm spool as lag??? do you want your engine to be done by 4000 or something?

NO, but i do like an engine that doesnt fall out of the power when i shift it. I wouldnt mind it on a race car that gets wound waaayyy out but on a DD it just doesnt seem like a desireable trait.

I know. That was an exageration. The biggest problem is stoplight to stoplight, you would have to tack it up to be in the boost, then you arent going to get any traction when you cut it loose.

i like that i have alot more torque when not in boost, so i often dont even need boost in stoplight to stoplight traffic to out-accelerate the masses.
