How To Make Stock Bov loud??..HELP PLEASE

Hey i have a stock 89 lebaron turbo gt 2.5L and want to make a homemade blow off valve of make stock one louder...any instructions on how to do so if even possible...Thanks

Welcome to the board. Pull the stock BOV out of the airbox and let it hang.

Remove it from the airbox and slap on a cone filter. If you need more detailed info on how to do it feel free to PM me

It will sound like this. I only boosted to about 3 psi. The more more boost the louder and sharper the tone of the BOV is. [IMG][/IMG]

Yea, about your question, what I did and worked well(and was easy) was to Swiss cheese my air lid.
Took a 3/4" hole saw and drilled like 15 holes in the airbox....It lets in more air, lets out more BOV noise and still Filters THE AIR...MAYBE NOT THE BEST FOR FLOW , BUT FREE AND FUN!

I just put a K&N cone filter on like this tonight... w/ the BOV outside the intake box, its VERY audible. The stock turbo can make the BOV's presence known as low as 2K! hehehe

Did about the same mod as everyone else.Took it out of the box and let hang.Didn't work for me,kept blowing off the bottom tube.Clamp that damn thing good or will fall of.Had to make my own at the time and has held since.I have aftermarket gauge "Highly Recomend",as soon as it gets past zero I get a decently loud blow off.At boost it is quite noticeable outside and inside the car. Best part of being turbo car!!! You will love it....

Lol, I found this out tonight! I took my bro for a ride then I heard a mild POP and the power was kinda weak. Pulled in and found it popped off! Hmmm...

go to the junk yard and find a BOV off a 80s volvo. you can mount them 2 difforent ways and eack way gives a difforent sound, one ways lound and high pitched like a greddy/HKS, the other is a low and long "POOOOOOOSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" sound. i have one on my stock T1 shadow and one on my van that holds 31psi with no mods! they are the BEST for the buck! they cost about 5$ from most junk yards.
