The computer should be limited to 14.7lbs of boost. I would g valve it for spool up time and then crank up the boost to ~11lbs assuming your motor is in good condition as of now with the stock comp it should be at 7lbs of boost with like 9 seconds of 9 lbs of boost at WOT

Congrats on getting a GLH man, cool ride!! A good place to start for info is Donovan's Dodge Garage. This site will answer a lot of your questions, feel free to ask questions here as well. FYI, I've been told that the stock TI intake will start "backing up" when boost gets above 12psi.

Welcome to TD world.

Welcome then, Don't worry no laughing going on I'm still learning myself I have a very similar engine to your 85 2.2 turbo engine. I would say read up on DDG and here are some more links if you have anymore simple questions feel free to pm me as I might not see your thread.

Vendors:
Welcome to FWD Performance, Inc.

MiniMopar Resources

Mopar (Dodge/Plymouth/Chrysler) 2.2 liter engine - TBI or carbureted

G-Valve
Basic Boost Controller

I personally advise doing general tune up then move to:
2.5" exhaust or 3" depending on your future plans
Get a cal from FWDP
Mobile 1 synthetic

Thats all I can think of atm but anyway what plans do you have for your omni. Take a picture of the tee thing your talking about if you can.

You have the log style intake as I did on my 86 Lancer; I agree with the rest of the gang that 12 psi is limit. I ran that motor for 12 years and put 80,000 miles on it- coast to coast and on the German Autobahn (I'm retired Air Force) I tried several computers/ LM's: stock 7psi, MP 11psi and FWD 14 psi. the one that worked the best was MP 11psi - it pulled hardest and got a best of 33 mpg and helped the Lancer to a best of 15.7 @ 86mph. dyno numbers were 165lbs @ 4000, 140HP @ 5500 not very impressive but still fun to drive. torque fell off sharply after 4000 rpm - hense the reason I say the log won't flow.

Basicaly the log intake is junk and will run out of breath at 4000 rpm so don't invest too much - and 12psi is the celing. shift @ 5000 - don't try to stretch it out to 6,000 it will only slow you down. I learned that with time slips and the dyno confermed it.

You can open up the exhaust, advance the cam, play with ign timing (12-15), 803 inj's, K&N, these will get you started, but for real power you need air flow (TII conversion)

Good luck and welcome to the TD community
Jeff
