Will the t2 computor work with the mitu turbo? The Daytona Shelby z I just got the turbo was replaced becouse the garret cracked in half..he didnt have the moeny to put a garret back on it so he put a mitu..my question is will the t2 computor work with a mitu? the car runs great just ran a 280mile drive like butta lol...Well i was just wondering he might of replace the computor idk...Just wondering..Thanks

the only thing i would worrie about is petting a BOV on it....other than that i wouldnt worrie about it....

Like I need to put one on it or will have problems putting one on it? Its kinda teporary my the end of the year i want to replace it..next year lol

i'm saying you shoul put one on the car ot it will compressure surge and could bend the turbo shaft! lol and temp or not it will sound cool with a BOV

your car is a TII right? those dont have one...and your 85 wont have one ..and its a black thing in the air box if your car has one.,,..

None of the 87 and older T1 cars will have one. They used a suck through turbo design so they didn't need it. Only the 88+ turbo 1 cars came with them. They are mounted inside the airbox.

There has been a huge debate over whether you need to worry about compressor surge on a T2 car. The Garrett probably handles it better at stock boost levels. The Mitsu might be okay at stock boost too. It's really a matter of how hard you drive it. A BOV isn't a bad idea though. You'll be okay in the short term, just get one on it when you can.

As for the Mitsu versus the Garrett, there's no real difference to the computer. A turbo is a turbo. The Mitsu will spool faster but has less top end potential because it's smaller. At stock boost you shouldn't really notice a difference. It might be even better with the faster spool time.
