Ok, so I helped a friend put in a T2/T3 clutch in his '89 T1 2.5 Acclaim this last weekend. Removal/install went well. Car drove find for a few days (boosting normal), but now the car will not make boost in lower gears, and occasionally makes <2 PSI in higher gears. This car is 100% stock excluding a cone filter (because the stock box had a crack in it). All of the vacuum lines are good, and so is the turbo to throttle body tube. I'm thinking his turbo might be seized, but it's kinda weird that this happened shortly after the tranny was out

Thoughts?

Check if the Waste gate rod has popped out of the Swing valve.

Yea I swear working with cars strange things seem to happen all the time, just the other day my buddy called me over cause his tranny line blew out and he lost all his fluid and then the car wouldnt start when we got the lines fixed so it appears that the ignition module went at the same time that trans line did, just a strange coincidence I guess.
Check to see how the wheel spins if somethings wrong it will probobly be stiff or the blades will be hitting the sides of the compressor.

I've checked the connections and they are good. I've blown an intercooler hose on my Omni before, and I know what it sounds like afterwards. His doesn't even sound like the turbo is spooling like it should. I'll have to check the WG rod
