Hi, I'm setting up a twin turbo system for my dodge dart (225 slant six) I decided on using te04h turbos, just becasue I'm on a shoestring budget and I can't use anything better.

to make a long story short, I bought two of them from a used parts dealer, and I've hit a snag. I can't figure out which ports are oil feed & return, and which are coolant feed & return.

this is what I'm looking at: the turbo exhaust housing, from the compressor side, four ports for oil and coolant:

I'm almost entirely sure #1 is a coolant line, and I have a feeling #2 is an oil line. But which are in/out and which are oil and water.

I've searched all over the internets and Ican't find an answer to this most basic of questions.

3 - Oil in
1 - Oil out

2, 4 - Coolant

Coolant direction doesn't matter.

1 shouldn't be tapped, you'll have to use a flange to hose fitting like they have stock, a pipe fitting in there would be too small and restrict oil drain back. Remember to restrict the oil feeds when you pipe them in, straight to the main gallery will give you some smokey turbos.

Twin mitsus on a 225 are actually pretty well sized. That's my plan when I start working on my Valiant...

"internets" lol

Thank you! now I can finally continue working on this son of a gun!

now, do you know, do the Mitsus have a big problem with spooling slowly in a draw-through-carb application?

Carb? Please no...

TBI Megasquirt would be good, MPFI manifold with MS would be even better. Turbos and carbs don't play well even if they can be made to work.

To answer the question, I don't see why they'd spool any more slowly than normal as long as you have the right size carb on it.

You can't really intercool it with a draw through setup either, fuel will condense in the intercooler

I'm well aware draw-through is far from ideal, but that shoestring budget I was talking about dictates that I can't put together the money for megasquirt. I'd Like to run fuel injection, MPFI, or even just a blow-through carburator, but I don't have those options.

what I do have, is acess to all the raw materials I'll ever need for next to nothing in cost. all the fabrication skills I need, and less money than most racers put into their air filter.
