waiting for a T2 garrett to come in. when i put the car together, i bought braided lines from FWD for the mitsu. can i re-use these with different fittings on the ends? or do i need all new lines?? and where can i get a gasket for the turbo-to-manifold?

ok thanks i'll call her. i feel like im bugging her i've been calling for the past few days for my computer i ordered. (hopefully be getting it tuesday!! )
seriously? no gasket? just turbo butt right up to the bare manifold? crap im gonna have to find a manifold then. the flange is so chunked up, i found a gasket for some other turbo and trimmed it to fit because it didnt look like it'd seal good enough. the one i have on there is probably not re-usable at this point, so any suggestions on what i can use to make the new turbo seal on the manifold? is there any sort of sealant or anything that would stand up to the heat? or should i try to make another one of these metal crush gaskets?

You can use wheel bearing grease to create a carbon seal for the turbo, just let the engine get to operating temp for a little bit before you run it hard. You want the grease to crystalize

being on the car, wouldnt that be a pain? or just take both intake and exhaust manifold off to make the turbo swap even easier?
im looking for quickest, cheapest, easiest way here lol its all i have to drive till i get my jeep rear end rebuilt, so when i put the turbo on, i'll be at work till i can drive it home.

You probably could take a file and knock down the ridges and be good. There are copper gaskets made for that too. You would have to drill the one hole though for the Chrysler flange. But if you can spin a drill you can do that.

since there is no gasket there, both the turbo turbine housing flange and the exhaust manifold flange must be FLAT otherwise they will not seal and exhaust gas wWILL leak there DAMHIK lol
for my exh mani I pulled the 4 studs then ran it on a big floor mounted drum/disk sander - it took a while ! but the two flanges were flat and sealed real nice with a moderate coating of wheel bearing grease
