yeah so it could clog up and cause your turbo to shred and seize sending fun bits to get sucked up by your oil pump...
I would say give it regular maintainance and you should be good.

That's kinda what I thought. If it were mine I'd probably nix it.

I aggree accept for that there are some good people on T-M and there are some more venders or different vendors there. Easier to find tyler or TU, but thats about it. The people that run that forum are the problem, but hey they just erase my posts there anyway

BM is the new dodgegarage. They not only list the different faqs but they even show pictures For those of us that don't get it from talking lol.

TD is the oldest forum with the most people and the most that has happened. Like a computer though knowing everything about DOS doesn't help you. Running 35 PSI of boost with a big valve head and a stock 1 piece is about the same thing as talking about DOS. Right up there with Grainger valves. But TD has been there through all the changes, and now people that have a problem with change here are gone. Now a large range of info than before can be found here.

So I don't much like TM either but to each there own.

BM for faqs and friendly BS and extreme swapping.
T_M for finding some vendors and lame BS even regarding marrage LMAO
TD for hashing over the new mods and the old mods and the future mods. TD is also from the looks of things going to be a restoration forum as the cars get older.

An issue with many turbo people, they are very young and young is harder than before. Many schools don't even have autoshop now. Dads are either not there or don't know what a spark plug is, EX hippy. I have many younger people that work for me and see it allot, maybe too many need to unplug lol. I like to blow out my turbo lines and clean things down to get the crud out of them. I've watched younger guys change a turbo laying in the dirt in bad weather. That screen needs to be there for those in a big hurry, many it just doesn't matter. I was young once too and I have gone back over my work I did as a kid. It is scary. At 19 leaving the line very slowly with my big heavy Challenger I ran 12.35@121 MPH. But the wiring was stripped and tied, whats a butt connector? I have always known how to make power, but my wiring made my cars a rolling electrical fire This type of thing is a reason they need to have that screen there. So Turbonetics doesn't have to pay for people learning the hard way, as much..

I never claimed that a stock GLHS went 190 MPH, I claimed that in 91' a Shelby Charger had a 2 way average after melting a clutch of 196 MPH. That same car went over 200 MPH. For many years I could not find information on the subject. Last Summer a Honda finally broke the record made by the SC. When They did Road and Track magazine ran an artical on the record break and brought up the SC I had talked about for so many years. I posted the artical from Road and Track last summer, where is the lie? I never lied, however narrow minded people that didn't know of the record just assumed I was lying. That record wasn't a stock class record either, which I also stated. Steve Harvey a Shelby engineer in G/production, which is slightly modded from stock went 171 MPH in a 85 Shelby Charger in 85 with a log engine. Where is the proof? Pretty easy just read through Hot Rod magazine in 86'. Again I was laughed at for bringing up the truth. But hey make your self look as dumb as them and bring up that I'm lying.

Conical springs don't require my backing them. There shape breaks up harmonics and the tiny retainer weight helps them even farther. But hey since you say so the whole world must be off there rocker but you and a few of your friends.

the springs that you suggested and pimped were garbage and didnt work.

bottom line is that you spread crappy information and people in the know dont like it.

So all the new car manufactures are wrong, and you and your people in the "know" are right then?

The first set I used were the 3.3 springs, which the ones that did them right the way I described how to install them have been happy. However there are some like Simon which DID NOT install them right and had 60 PSI of seat pressure and exhaust bleed past the seat. Mine had no trouble, detobias here runs mid 13s and has no trouble with them at all. 2 years ago now I found a drop in that doesn't require shims. Many don't have the tools to set up there installed height right, the 26995s solve that problem. I also told everyone that max lift is .460" with the 3.3s, many want more lift. The new springs that I have had now for 2 years are the 26995s, with are 145 seat and 185 open, they also are good to .600" lift. I haven't told anyone to use 3.3s for 2 years because most don't set them up right. Those that have love them. The only one I ever heard of that didn't like them is Simon and he was the one that set them up wrong. The only thing I did wrong was suggest a spring that wasn't a drop in. I would also think that if I was "pimping" them I would be making money off them. How much have I made off of showing people what I've done? How often do I keep saving people money a secret here let alone try to make money off them?

My fault, talk about how nice it has been since the trouble makers went to T-M and I end up defending myself about BS. They sucked me in, I'll ignor them

Aries - why are you thread-crapping here ? mud-slinging of this type advances NOTHING ... if you have a valid issue with a particular tech suggestion from Pope or anyone else, take that comment to that thread, e.g. the "conical springs for 8V" thread in the Induction forum

besides, you are sounding ignorant; many TDers including myself have implemented Pope's tech suggestions with great results; my PTs/shim washers/3.3 springs/GM retainers are a key part of my 13.8 omni using (almost) all stock parts and only 13 psi

Pope - keep on keepin' on! :thumbs-up:

funny, i run 13.7 in a heavier car with 13psi.

the drop in spring might be better but the 3.3 ones dont have enough seat pressure.

its just sad seeing everyone being duped by the pope.
